Campers for Der Spiegel

For over two years Jennifer has been living in her RV after losing her home. She’s been moving it all over San Francisco, always looking for a place where she won’t be bothered by the authorities or burglars. Due to the pandemic she recently lost her job as a school bus driver. We met her near Lake Merced, where mobile homes line the streets with people who can’t afford San Francisco’s excruciating rent prices.

Dave rents his camper van for $600 a month. He makes money driving for Uber but business has been severely cut because of the Coronavirus spreading.
